Teosyal® Dermal Filler
Manufactured in Switzerland by Teoxane Laboratories, the Teosyal product range is an award-winning 100% hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler of non-animal origin. Teosyal can be injected into the face, neck and hands. The Teosyal product range is highly biocompatible and slowly absorbed into the body.
How Does Teosyal Work?
Teosyal works by replenishing the amount of hyaluronic acid in your skin. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in cells in the skin, joints and cartilage. It adds volume to cells by attracting and binding water, helping your skin to retain its moisture levels and firmness.
Over time, the natural levels of hyaluronic acid are depleted as a result of aging and exposure to the sun. This can cause cells to dry out and hollow, leaving your skin wrinkled and dry and showing the signs of age. Teosyal injections alleviate hyaluronic acid deficiency. This dermal filler helps to re-moisturise your skin cells adding volume and smoothing the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the skin.
There are a number of Teosyal products to choose from to address your individual skin condition. Choose Teosyal Kiss to fill and reshape lip contours or Teosyal Deep Lines to treat deep nasal furrows and augment facial contours. Effects and Cost of Teosyal
Teosyal products have an immediate volumising effect on your face, neck and hands. The duration of Teosyal products depends on your age and lifestyle and also the correct placement of the product by the practitioner. The majority of Teosyal products produce effects that last between 6 and 9 months. Teosyal Kiss, Ultimate and Ultra Deep have effects that last 12 months on average, according to the manufacturers.
The cost of Teosyal dermal filler depends on the product used but are in the region of £200 to £400 per treatment. The newer Teosyal Ultimate may cost more.
Is Teosyal Safe?
The Teosyal range has a reduced protein and bacterial endotoxin level which means there are fewer hypersensitivity reactions. Approximately one in 20,000 people experience a reaction to Teosyal making it very safe.
Reported side effects include redness, swelling and possible discomfort of the treatment area but in most cases these effects are resolved naturally in a few days. Any more persistent side effects should be reported to your practitioner.
