DERMAL FILLERS: EVOLENCE

EvolenceTM Dermal Filler

Evolence is a collagen-based dermal filler (skin filler) manufactured by ColBar LifeScience intended for use for the correction of moderate to deep wrinkles, lines and folds on the face. Evolence is also used to treat the appearance of scars, defects secondary to rhinoplasty surgery and other surgically-induced irregularities.

Evolence contains highly-purified collagen derived from porcine tendons. Porcine collagen has an extremely high level of compatibility with the human immune system and is used in a number of surgical procedures.

How Does Evolence Work?
Collagen makes up 80% of your skin but can begin to break down with age. This break down can cause wrinkles and lines to appear on your skin.

The collagen contained in Evolence is crosslinked using Glymatrix technology. This chemical process involves combining the collagen with sugar for added strength and gives Evolence treaents their longevity. This new matrix bonds with your body’s own supply of collagen to improve the condition of your skin.

Cost and Performance
The crosslinked collagen in Evolence treaents allow for longer-lasting effects. The visibly pleasing effects of Evolence last up to 12 months on average, before the collagen is broken down naturally by your body.

You should expect to pay between £380 and £450 per syringe of Evolence, depending on the area that requires treatment and how much product is needed.

Clinical studies have found that Evolence had better wrinkle correction at 15 months. It was also observed that Evolence had superior shape preservation and less displacement of material from the injection site when compared to other dermal fillers.

Safety of Evolence
Unlike with bovine collagen, no skin test is required when using collagen from porcine sources, because of its compatibility with human collagen.

Evolence dermal filler should not be used on:

Evolence is also not recommended for use around the eyes and patients using substances that reduce coagulation, such as aspirin and anti-inflammatory drugs, may experience increased bruising or bleeding at the treatment site.

Reactions to Evolence are rare and mild including mild swelling or itching for a few days after the injection.
