Cosmetic Breast Surgery
Many women are self-conscious about their breasts. Much of this anxiety stems from childhood and then later, puberty. For women who have breasts that are too big, too small or unusually shaped concerns can arise when it comes to undressing in front of others or putting on a swimming costume.

There is no need for your breasts to cause you any more anxiety. There is a range of cosmetic surgeries that can transform most kinds of breast into a more appealing and attractive size and shape.

Breast Augmentation
This is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries and certainly the most well known. Bust size and shape is seen as related to attractiveness by many women. If you are unhappy with the size and shape of your breasts, cosmetic surgery may have the solution for you.

Augmentation surgery aims to improve the appearance of the breasts, prevent sagging and make them look firmer. The procedure takes two to three hours on average and may involve an overnight stay in the hospital.

Surgery usually involves placing saline or silicone implants into pockets created under the breast tissue. The size and shape of implants can vary according to what will be most suitable for your overall size and shape. In recent years, breast-implant technology and surgical methods have improved making the surgery safer and shortening recovery times. The cost of breast augmentation surgery usually is usually between £3,000 and £6,000.

Breast Reduction
All cosmetic treatments are designed to improve the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Breast reduction surgery is designed to reduce breast tissue that may be causing discomfort by putting strain on the back and neck muscles or may be unattractive.

Disproportionately large breasts can cause an imbalance in the appearance of the figure as well as affecting mobility. Reduction surgery usually involves a two-night stay in hospital, with the overall aim to reduce the size of the breasts to a more suitable size for the frame of the patient.

The treatment also aims to give the breasts a better shape and make them firmer. Repositioning the nipples to be in line with the upper arm also gives them a more aesthetically pleasing appearance. A standard breast reduction procedure can cost between £4,000 and £6,000 but the surgery can also be combined with other treatments for a more cost-effective overall procedure.

Breast reduction is also becoming more common for men who find that an excess of breast tissue or skin is very difficult to remove with exercise. Male breast reduction surgery will usually cost between £2,000 and £5,000 depending on the extent of surgery required.

Breast Lift
A breast lift will raise and support breasts that are sagging due to age, weight gain or pregnancy. The surgery is not designed to increase or decrease the size of the breasts, although implants may be used, to lift them back to their original position.

Sagging or drooping breasts can make women feel very self-conscious and can also put strain on the back and neck muscles. A breast lift will restore the original shape of the breast and may also involve nipple relocation to be in line with the upper arm.
Surgery takes between one and three hours and can cost approximately £4,000 depending on the individual. After surgery you will be advised to wear a supportive bra for several weeks to allow tissue to heal in its new position.
